Nicole
Antwerp, Belgium
Nicole (born 1946) works as a volunteer in our atelier. She guides newcomers through their first steps in our atelier and teaches them the tricks of the trade in the finishing process. She took a high school course in cutting and sewing and would have preferred to study social sciences afterwards. Her parents found a teacher's degree more suitable. Through her first job in a men's clothing store, she ended up in an atelier and that's how her love for craftsmanship was born. She later went on to work as a teacher in the stitching, cutting and pattern department. Even after retirement, she continued to guide women of various nationalities in making clothes for another 11 years. Her experience, passion, patience and enthusiasm are a great asset to REantwerp.
